Once back at the factory, Carla then has to deal with both the arrival of the Americans and Stephen reminding her of the imperative that she be on top form. Outraged by his nerve, Carla then orders Stephen to make the tea, but feeling belittled, he double doses her drink. The result being that Carla’s behaviour grows increasingly erratic and Dr Gaddas recommends that Carla take an extended break and go on antipsychotic drugs.
But Stephen hasn’t yet finished toying with his prey and, having pocketed Carla’s keys, he lets himself into the flat, checks she’s asleep and then turns on the grill…

Tim runs a big risk
When Faye heads out for the day with Craig, Tim welcomes Jackson and Miley into the home. But Sally warns him that he’s playing a dangerous game with his subterfuge.
Soon enough, Sally is proved correct when Miley and Eliza recognise each other in the street and stop to chat – just as Craig and Faye pull up in a cab. Tim’s heart sinks, but he remains determined to get Faye to see that she’ll regret it for the rest of her life if she passes up the opportunity to get to know her daughter.
Beth decides to meet Marco
Having dressed to impress, Beth asks Glenda to accompany her on a furtive trip to meet Marco. But when she realises that she’s surplus to requirements, Glenda decides to scarper from the scene.
Later in the week, though, Kirk and Fiz will be seen reminiscing about the time he proposed to her – and Beth can’t help but bristle when she hears what they’re saying.
