Police are waiting to arrest Silva, TMZ reported.

Sources have told the entertainment publication Silva was allegedly drinking at a party earlier in the night to celebrate La Barrie’s birthday.

La Barrie, originally from Adelaide, was a YouTuber who regularly shared videos on the site and had 339,000 followers.

Yahoo News Australia has contacted the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade for information regarding his reported death.

Brother’s touching tribute

His brother, Jarrad La Barrie, took to Instagram early Tuesday morning to pay tribute to his sibling.

“This is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do I don’t [know] how I’m supposed to do this without you, I miss you so much already this isn’t fair. Thank you for always being the best big brother I could ask for,” he said.

His mother, Lissa Burton, also shared a post on Instagram, mourning the death of her son.

“My heart breaks right now, on my son’s 25 birthday today,” she said, alleging her son and Silva were intoxicated at the time of the crash.

“The accident killed him instantly. No words can describe the sadness I feel in losing a child. It just feels so unreal and I’m overwhelmed with grief. I love you so much Corey and will miss you so, so much.

“It’s just so unfair.”
