Emergency services have attended an address over concerns about "potentially hazardous material" inside.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said they had cordoned off the property on Flitcroft Gardens in Lake on the Isle of Wight.

The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service (IWAS) confirmed it was also at the scene.

"Two double crews, one operational station commander, two tactical officers and the regional Hazardous Area Response Team were in attendance," a spokesperson said.

A two-storey block of flats with a grass verge in front of it, cordoned off with red and white tape. An ambulance is stopped near the property, with paramedics and other emergency workers milling around.
