Comedian Andy Lee left fans speechless after a sensational catch on the boundary during a T20 Black Clash match in New Zealand.

While Australia was taking on India overnight, Lee - one half of the famous Hamish and Andy duo - was selected to play for Team Cricket against Team Rugby for the Black Clash T20 match.

And what a selection it turned out to be after the radio and TV star pulled off a sensational boundary catch that had the crowd on their feet.

All Blacks star Jordie Barrett launched Grant Elliot high into the sky and the ball appeared to be going for six.

But a determined Lee came charging along the boundary and dived backwards to reel in a sensational catch.

The move had fans joking the Black Caps could have used a fielder like Lee against Australia in the recent 3-0 whitewash Test series on Aussie soil.

Many on social media were also just in awe of the clutch moment.

Lee also took the last catch of the game to seal the win for Team Cricket.
