Colleen Hoover's Verity movie adaption .– what we know so far as Anne Hathaway joins cast

Anne Hathaway has been cast as the lead in Colleen Hoover's book-to-screen adaptation of Verity.

For the film, which is being developed by Amazon MGM Studios, Hathaway will work again with director Michael Showalter, an Amazon representative revealed.

The most recent collaboration between Hathaway and Showalter was on Amazon's The Idea of You.

The movie follows the popularity of Hoover's first book-to-screen adaption It Ends With Us, which starred Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni and came out in August.

What do we know about Colleen Hoover’s Verity adaptation?

The only bit of information we know so far about the adaptation is that Hathaway will be leading the cast.

The release date and the rest of the cast are yet to be announced.

Meanwhile, fans can purchase and stream It Ends With Us, on Apple TV+ and Prime Video. They can also anticipate the future adaptation of Regretting You, which is scheduled to begin production in 2025, according to Deadline.

What is Verity about?

Hoover's 2018 self-published New York Times bestseller book of the same name served as the inspiration for the film.

Lowen Ashleigh, a poor writer on the verge of financial collapse, accepts “the job offer of a lifetime” in Verity.

Ashleigh starts working for Verity Crawford, a successful novelist, and her husband, Jeremy Crawford, after Verify is incapacitated in a mysterious car accident.

Ashleigh discovers that things are not as they seem when she gets to the Crawford mansion. Through an incomplete manuscript, she unearths a mystery that could reveal terrifying details about the family's past, including murder.

Ashleigh must decide as she works if Verity's writing show the warning signs of a psychopath or are merely the product of a darkly imaginative mind.
