Coles delivery driver threatened in road rage attack

A Coles delivery driver was involved in a horrifying road rage attack in Melbourne on Monday morning, with another driver brandishing what appears to be a knife.

The video of the attack happened on the corner of Swan and Church Streets in Richmond, in Melbourne's east, 7News reported.

In the video, the Coles delivery driver and another driver are seen stopped at the traffic lights, standing either side of a car speaking with each other.

The driver is then seen retrieving something from his car and then walking over to the Coles delivery driver and his truck.

The delivery driver jumps into his vehicle, but the other man is then seen swinging at the window. A report by 7News claimed the man was holding a knife during the incident caught on camera.

A witness who spoke to news.com.au said the two were already arguing when they pulled up at the lights and said the weapon brandished by the driver could have been a "knife or something".

Yahoo News Australia has reached out to Victoria Police for comment.

The Daily Mail reported Victoria Police are urging anyone with dash cam footage of the alleged assault to come forward.
