CM Punk's WrestleMania XL role revealed WWE

CM Punk will be a part of WrestleMania XL despite getting injured at the Royal Rumble.

Punk came back to WWE at Survivor Series last November, making his televised in-ring return at the Royal Rumble in January.

During the Royal Rumble match, where he finished as the runner-up to Cody Rhodes, Punk tore his right tricep putting him on the shelf for WrestleMania.

But on Monday (March 25) Punk made his return to WWE TV, appearing on Raw in his hometown of Chicago.

Addressing his involvement in this year's WrestleMania, Punk told the crowd that, although he's not medically cleared to wrestle, his "mouth still works".

But before Punk could make his announcement, Drew McIntyre, who has been antagonising Punk on TV and social media for weeks, made his way to the ring,

McIntyre mocked Punk before inviting him to be the guest commentator for his match against Seth Rollins at WrestleMania. Rollins' music then hit and he polled the crowd on whether they wanted Punk on commentary or as a special guest referee for the World Heavyweight Title match.

However, despite the crowd chanting for referee, Punk said he couldn't be objectively fair for the match and would instead be sitting at the commentary desk.

Rollins will defend his World Heavyweight Championship against McIntyre on Night 2 of WrestleMania. The second night will also see Roman Reigns defend the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Cody Rhodes.

Night 1 of WrestleMania will be headlined by Reigns teaming with The Rock against Rhodes and Rollins.
