Outdoor instructor dies from injuries after '150ft fall' from Snowdonia mountain
A climber has died from a fall at a mountain in Snowdonia.
The male climber, believed to be an outdoor instructor, died from his injuries after a fall of about 150ft (46m) on Cwm Cneifion in Wales on Saturday, it was reported.
Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue said the alarm was raised at about 11.30am by a father and his 16-year-old son who were climbing the Idwal Slabs.
They spotted the injured man, who had passed them earlier, the BBC reported.
The climber was flown by a coastguard rescue helicopter to Ysbyty Gwynedd hospital in Bangor but died from his injuries.

In a post on social media, a spokesperson for the rescue organisation said the man was a local outdoor instructor.
They said the man, who is yet to be named, had many friends in Snowdonia's rescue community.
A spokesperson said: "During the follow-up, it was discovered the casualty was a local outdoor instructor with many friends in the rescue community including some on site, our thoughts are with his family and friends at this sad time."
In an incident report on its website, Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue said: "A party of two were intending to climb Cneifion Arete when they noticed a fallen climber towards the base of the route, and so called for assistance.
"Upon arrival it was evident that a climber had taken a significant fall and sustained very serious injuries."
The rescue group said 18 of its members attended and that the father and son were helped off the hill and the injured man taken in a stretcher to a coastguard helicopter. He was confirmed dead in hospital.
