Christina Aguilera Shares 'Crucial' Message in Rare Political Statement

Christina Aguilera joined countless other celebs when she took to social media to send a passionate political message on Election Day.

After performing at the Kamala Harris Election Eve campaign rally in Las Vegas on Monday, Nov. 4, the "Beautiful" singer shared a series of photos from the performance on X, including two black-and-white snaps of the singer onstage and a behind-the-scenes pic wearing a Harris-Walz baseball cap.

"I didn’t expect to touch down in Vegas again this year, but for something so crucial at this turning point in our lives, I proudly stand to support democracy and the fight for continued freedom and RIGHTS," Aguilera wrote in her caption. "I support Kamala Harris which means standing for equal rights, protection, and the freedom to live your truth. This election is critical, and your vote is your POWER. Make your voice heard and choose freedom. GO VOTE #harriswalz2024"

The star's followers were quick to praise her for speaking out in the comments.

"When you first raised your voice and got involved in politics in 2004 (when I was just a kid), it helped me realize the importance of making my voice and vote heard so thank you for being such a positive influence in that way as well and continuing to stand up for freedom," wrote journalist Jeff Benjamin.

"So proud of you, Queen! thank you so much for always using your voice!" raved one fan.

"Always standing for what you believe in, always on the right side of history," agreed another person.

According to the Daily Mail, Aguilera sang a version of her hit "Fighter" with election-specific lyrics at the rally.

"Tonight, I'm here in honor of the people who have fought to give us the privilege to be heard," she said before launching into the song. "Let's raise our voices and vote for freedom!"
