Chris Wallace says goodbye to ‘feisty colleagues’ in one of his last shows
Chris Wallace offered a farewell to the CNN network and his coworkers after three years of employment with the company on Saturday’s airing of the “Chris Wallace Show.”
“My only regret is leaving my feisty colleagues here on the panel and the wonderful team that puts all this together and of course, all of you,” the anchor shared in the clip highlighted by Mediate. “I’ll have more to say on my final show next week.”
Wallace was joined by pollster Kristen Soltis Anderson, journalists Kara Swisher, Lulu Garcia-Navarro and Reihan Salam, who served as panelists.
He announced his departure on Monday and will continue hosting until the end of the year as a result of being offered a reduced contract as reported by The Ankler.
Wallace’s tenure will end as CNN undergoes massive layoffs with 100 job cuts as reported by the New York Times.
Mark Thompson was named CEO of the company just six months ago and has made plans to restructure the company from the top to the bottom rolling out a new digital paywall amid other changes.
