It’s the bromance that’s proving to be one for the ages and Chris Hemsworth and Matt Damon continued to be bestie goals in Melbourne last night.

The pair have become firm friends in the past few years, with Matt and his wife, Luciana Barroso, spending an increasing amount of time with Chris and Elsa Pataky in their Byron Bay home.

However, last night they spent some time away from the surf and flew to Melbourne to watch the Western Bulldogs take on the Sydney Swans at Marvel Stadium.

It was a major night for Chris, as to celebrate the first AFL game at the new-look stadium, the Bulldogs donned Thor-inspired guernseys on the pitch.

The guernsey paid homage to the Aussie actor’s Thor character and Chris even sat in a Thor-themed corporate box at the game.

“The guernsey was produced by Bulldogs’ apparel partner Asics, in consultation with Marvel, and blends the Club’s traditional home strip with Thor’s armour, including a red cape featured on the back of the jumper,” the club website states.

“Thanks to Marvel, a portion of proceeds from the sale of the Bulldogs’ Thor-inspired guernsey will go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.”

Thor actor Chris could be seen explaining the rules of the game to the 48-year-old American actor, as they both then jumped out of the seats and went wild every time Chris’ beloved Dogs scored.

Their Melbourne trip comes just days after both of their families flew to WA to take in all the sights the coral coast has to offer.

In snaps that have made us all want to book flights over to the west coast right away, Chris and Elsa could be seen enjoying life off-the-grid, with the actor revealing it was ‘one of the best trips ever’.

“Very remote part of Western Australia, off the grid, no cell phones, no crowds just sunsets, surfing, fishing and big smiles,” he wrote on Instagram.

The couples and their kids also took a trip over to Rottnest Island in WA, where Chris posted a selfie with an adorable Quokka.

Elsa also gushed about the holiday on her Instagram, alongside a stunning photo of her husband in front of a famous WA sunset.

“We slept in tents, had little water, and no phone signal or wifi. We were able to connect with our kids, partners and friends in deeper, different ways. Without the stress of routine, without agendas, plans or luxuries. Just beaches, shells, surf and games around the camp fire. I feel very fortunate,” she wrote.
