Chinese group to pump $40m into Gold Coast

Around 7000 Chinese delegates are expected to inject $40 million into the economy during a 10-day business event which starts this week on the Gold Coast.

The group, which includes top performers from China's largest personal healthcare company Infinitus China, started to arrive on Tuesday, and will cuddle koalas, learn to catch fish and spend time at the theme parks.

Tourism Industry Development Minister Kate Jones announced plans to bring Infinitus to the Gold Coast while on a trade mission in Guangzhou, China, in 2016.
