Check your tickets! Mystery winner scoops entire $50 million Oz Lotto jackpot

One lucky Aussie is $50 million richer tonight after becoming the sole winner of Oz Lotto’s biggest jackpot in a decade.

The mystery winner, who purchased the ticket in either New South Wales or ACT, selected all seven winning numbers of draw 1377: 12, 9, 13, 7, 32, 5 and 4.

The jackpot went untouched for five weeks straight, leading to Tuesday’s mega draw. The winning ticket was unregistered, and the owner is yet to come forward.

The Lott spokesperson Lauren Cooney said it’s possible the winner has gone to bed without realising they are Australia’s newest millionaire.

“There’s a very real possibility that this person will wake up and go about their day as normal tomorrow, with no idea they’ve taken home the biggest Oz Lotto prize of the year,” she said.

“We were on standby ready to reach out to any division one winners after tonight’s draw, but unfortunately we haven’t been to break this incredible news to our elusive winner. Instead, we’re calling on anyone in New South Wales who had an entry into tonight’s draw to check their tickets.

“You can check your entries in-store, online at thelott.com, or via the Lott app. If you do realise you’re the division one winner we’re searching for, please call us on 131 868 to begin the process of claiming your prize.”

Oz Lotto were expecting one-in-six adults to have an entry into tonight’s game, which also recorded 16 division 2 winners, each taking home $32,955.25.

Previous winner in disbelief over $16.9m win

Before tonight’s draw, the biggest Oz Lotto win in 2020 was in May when a Parramatta man pocketed almost $17m.

When hearing the news back in May, the man was stunned and said it would take a while to sink in.

“I went blank. I couldn’t think at all. It’s a blessing from the heavens above,” he told The Lott.

“We will definitely be sharing the prize with our family and although we can’t go on a holiday at the moment to celebrate, we will do that down the track.

“We will be very wise with the prize but of course we will really enjoy it.”
