CCTV released after man seriously injured

Police have released an image of a person they want to speak to following an assault that left a man in hospital with serious head injuries.

The incident happened close to the Velentino Gelato dessert restaurant in St Nicholas Street, Worcester, at about 02:40 BST on Saturday.

The man was taken to hospital where he is in a stable condition.

West Mercia Police believes a dark-haired man, pictured wearing a black shirt and jeans, may be able to help with their inquiries.

Police are also keen to find a "key witness" believed to have been there at the time of the assault and urged people with additional information to get in touch.
