'Cat Pisst Off': Vandal sprays 17 Sydney cars with bizarre feline slogans

A number of cars have been found spray-painted with cat-related phrases in a “bizarre” act of vandalism in Sydney’s CBD.

Rochelle De Luca told Yahoo News Australia she returned to her car which was parked in a complex in Elizabeth Bay on Thursday about 3.30pm only to find the phrase “cat pisst off” sprayed in orange on her car.

Ms De Luca shared video of other cars with tags including “Sylvester”, “Miss Kitty”, “Lion Safari”, “Mrs Pussy” and “Cheetah” sprayed across their doors.

“It was a number of really bizarre cat references,” Ms De Luca said.

“I have no idea what the motivation was. I have no idea what would make someone be so destructive.”

The woman estimated about 30 cars were vandalised and she’s reported it to police.

“I’m going to be driving around with ‘cat pisst off’ on the side of my car for the next six weeks,” Ms De Luca said.

“A lot of people are going to be spending the Christmas period going through police and their insurance over this.

“I also just got my car back after it was damaged in last year’s hail storm.”

A NSW Police spokeswoman said 17 cars were damaged with orange paint.

A 63-year-old woman has been arrested and charged with malicious damage.
