Car slams into pedestrian during huge brawl outside club
A vehicle has struck a pedestrian during a massive street brawl involving almost 200 people in Melbourne’s north.
The fight broke out at about 2.45am on Sunday morning, as up to 200 people were leaving an event at a licensed premises on Smith Street, near Mater Street.
Six people were injured and taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
At the time of the incident, a vehicle crashed into parked cars and struck a male pedestrian. The man suffered serious leg injuries and was taken to hospital.
At 8.30 am, officers were still on the scene. They have blocked Smith Street in both directions between Alexander Parade and Hotham Streets.
