Shocking new details emerge after teen killed while visiting boyfriend overseas
A Canadian teen allegedly killed by a man she met online died from stab wounds to the chest, an inquest heard today.
Ashley Wadsworth, 19, travelled to the UK to meet 23-year-old Jack Sepple, but was later found dead in Essex, an hour northeast from London.
Ms Wadsworth, originally from Vernon, British Columbia, was found unresponsive at the block of flats on February 1 and later declared dead at the scene, The Sun reports.
Mr Sepple appeared in court last week charged with murdering the 19-year-old and remains in custody until his plea hearing on March 7.
'Things weren't going great'
The Canadian expat was reportedly visiting the UK on a six-month tourist visa and moved to Chelmsford, Essex, in November for love.
Since then, the bright-eyed teen shared a series of photos on Facebook detailing her "amazing trip to London" as she and Mr Sepple explored the city together, describing him as "my bestie".
While photos appear to show her having an "amazing trip," the teen decided to cut it short because things "weren't going great", it's been reported.
Miss Wadsworth was due to fly home to Canada this week.
Loved ones pay tribute to the 'fiercely loving and loyal' teen
In a tribute released through Essex Police, Ms Wadsworth’s family described her as a “kind” and “beautiful” woman, the Evening Standard reported.
They told of her “spontaneous, witty, kind personality” and “unforgettable laugh” and said she was “fiercely loving and loyal to her family and friends”.
The family, who police said is currently not able to be in Essex, touched on the teenager’s sense of adventure and said she had travelled extensively within Canada, Mexico, the US and England.
She spoke three languages – English, French and Spanish – and travelling “encouraged her love of language”, they said, and she had plans to attend university in Canada to fulfil her dreams of becoming a lawyer.

Family to 'get justice' for Ashley
The "beautiful" teen will be missed "very, very much," the family said.
Her sister paid tribute to her "best friend" and vowed to "get justice" for her "poor baby sister", while her niece Paisley called her the “best aunty ever”.
The local community in Essex reportedly arranged a vigil for the teen which touched the family "so deeply."
“They were able to do something for Ashley that we couldn’t, and we will be forever thankful,” they added.
“How lucky are we to have people from across the world care so much about a family that they have never met?”
