Can you spot this real estate agency's Photoshop fail?

A real estate agency in Queensland has illustrated the apparent dangers of Photoshop after posting an image of a waterfront property with a glaring error.

The property, a luxurious apartment on the banks of the Brisbane River at St Lucia, was posted by Ray White Queensland, showing a ground-floor apartment overlooking pristine blue waters.

But users on Reddit were quick to point out two things that showed up the Photoshop fakery.

“Looking for a laugh?” the post reads.

“Check out Realestate.com and try and spot obvious photo shot [sic] … The brown snake hasn’t been this colour for a long time!”

The “brown snake” is an affectionate term by locals for the Brisbane River – which is, most days, a muddy greenish-brown.

Apart from apparently Photoshopping the river to make it look much bluer than it really is, the agency appears to have neglected one tiny section near a walkway next to the property – showing the true colour of the water the property looks out onto.

“Well, I’ll be damned. If that isn’t the fakest, worst photoshop job I’ve ever seen,” one Reddit user observed.

“Oops, missed a spot,” another wrote.

That’s got to count as false advertising or something,” another observed.

The real estate agency has since replaced the blue-water images with ones that more accurately reflect the river’s true colour.

The Sanford Street property, which boasts three bedrooms and a private waterfront balcony, is due to be auctioned on December 8.
