‘Feral to the max’: Cheap home has Aussies raging
A Western Australian home has captured the internet’s attention for the wrong reasons, after shocked Australians saw the interior of the $239,000 property.
The Granfell Way property is described as an “unfinished dream”, but the listing comes with a warning: “This property does need TLC and a new kitchen.”
Members of a Byford Facebook community group agreed, describing it as “bloody disgusting” and “feral to the max”.
The two bedroom, one bathroom home looks like any other suburban home from the exterior however is covered in graffiti in much of the interior. Some rooms have had flooring and carpentry removed, while one room has the word “LEE” in large spray-paint letters on the wall.
However, viewers were split on the property. Some said it had “nice bones” and wouldn’t be too expensive to fix up, while others simply said, “maximum yikes”.
The property is represented by Heritage Realty with private inspections by appointment.
The median house price in Byford, on the south-east of Perth, is $378,000, according to Realestate.com.au.
It comes as Perth owners face a changing market: 36.2 per cent of houses and more than half of all units are selling at a loss.
However, prices generally are improving. While Perth’s home values fell 0.3 per cent over the last quarter and 1.0 per cent over the year, September saw prices lift 0.2 per cent.
