Rising humidity and a wind changes have eased a bushfire threat in Western Australia's Goldfields-Esperance region.
The out-of-control bushfire, which has been deemed suspicious, has raged through 500 hectares in Pink Lake but has now been downgraded to watch and act, the Department of Fire and Emergency Services says.
There is still a possible threat to lives and homes in the area bounded by Barook Road, Kings Mill Retreat, Helms Drive and Eleven Mile Beach Road in Helms Estate.
The risk has reduced but people are reminded to remain vigilant and continue to monitor the situation in case it changes.
Thirty-five firefighters are currently on scene, actively fighting the fire, reinforcing containment lines and conducting back burning operations.
