A bushfire warning for the small north Queensland town of Irvinebank has been downgraded.
Residents had been told to leave as a blaze that had been burning for two weeks headed towards the community.
However, Queensland Fire and Emergency Services downgraded the alert late on Monday, and advised residents to keep up to date on the situation.
QFES said the bushfire was burning in the vicinity of Whites Track, south of Irvinebank, and that properties were not under direct threat.
There were reports of trees falling on the Herberton Petford Rd and drivers were advised to be extremely careful if travelling on it, QFES said.
The fire, which started on September 17, burned a home and sheds in nearby Walsh River on Sunday afternoon.
