An emergency warning for a bushfire that threatened lives and homes in parts of the City of Swan in Western Australia has been downgraded to a watch and act.
"There is a possible threat to lives and homes as a fire is approaching in the area and conditions are changing," the Department of Fire and Emergency Services said in an alert on Thursday evening.
An emergency warning was issued earlier on Thursday evening saying homes in northeastern parts of Bullsbrook in the City of Swan were in danger and residents should leave immediately or shelter in place.
The warning was downgraded due to favourable fire conditions.
The DFES said the bushsire was stationary late on Thursday night and was controlled but not contained.
