Bunnings pulls 'inappropriate' axe-wielding Santa from shelves
An inflatable Santa throwing an axe at a reindeer pinned to a dartboard has been removed from the shelves at Bunnings.
A picture of the peculiar $129 Christmas decoration was posted to a Facebook group, where confused shoppers got a laugh out of the 1.8 metre tall festive inflatable.
“Saw this in Bunnings 3 weeks ago, it’s hilarious,” one person wrote online.
“It’s really cool, the target deflates after being ‘axed’ and pops back up again. There’s a few new ones in this year,” another fan of the decoration wrote.

However it seems it might be too late to get your hands on it, as Bunning have pulled the Bah Humbug Father Christmas from shelves.
“While we’re always looking for unique Christmas items we decided this product wasn’t appropriate and we’ve withdrawn it from sale,” Bunnings director of merchandise Phil Bishop told news.com.au.
The axe-throwing Santa was only available in selected stores and wasn’t available for purchase online.
Amongst the Christmas decorations at Bunnings this year is also a $129 solar-powered light-up reindeer ornament, LED glitter penguins and many inflatables that are slightly left of field.
Some of the more bizarre options include Santa riding a shark, St Nicholas riding a forklift and playing a saxophone.
