Bugging device is found in Polish ministers' meeting room

Polish special services have uncovered devices believed to be used for eavesdropping on a government meeting, a spokesperson for the Minister Coordination of Special Services, Jacek Dobrzyński, wrote on X on May 7.

The State Protection Service, in collaboration with the Internal Security Agency, removed the devices, which were discovered in the room designated for the Council of Ministers' meeting in the city of Katowice.

Further actions are being implemented in light of the discovery, according to Dobrzyński.

Today, an off-site meeting of the Council is planned in Katowice, coinciding with the European Economic Congress. The event will be inaugurated by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
