Woman finds 'creepy' note on windscreen after bushwalk

A disturbing note left on the windscreen of a lone female bushwalker in Brisbane has prompted concern in the community.

Tess Scorrar was walking through bushland around Nudgee Beach in Brisbane’s northeast on Sunday before finding a note on her car from a stranger asking to buy her underwear.

“Hello, I think your [sic] very attractive!!!” the note began.

“If your [sic] interested, I would like to pay you cash for your panties!!!”

The note directed Ms Scorrar to wait at the roadside if she was interested where the man would find her.

“That’s creepy as all hell,” she wrote on Facebook as she shared images of the note warning other females in the area.

She said the unsavoury moment has put her off returning to the area she often walks, and will never return alone.

It’s made me angry and disgusted,” she told Yahoo News Australia.

“I’m creeped out as anyone would be.”

She said many people had messaged her to reveal they also will refrain from visiting the area and it wasn’t the first time such behaviour in the area had happened.

Many people responded to her Facebook post also expressing their concerns over the note.

“That’s sick and creepy!” one person declared.

“If you can’t walk around and enjoy your environment what can you do,” another person asked.

“We have to be so careful these days,” one woman warned.

Ms Scorrar has since reported the incident to police, handing over the note and providing further information to investigators.

Queensland Police told Yahoo News Australia investigations into the matter are ongoing.
