Bridgerton star Charithra Chandran is set to make her West End debut in a one-woman show.

The actress, who shot to fame as Edwina Sharma in season two of Netflix's hit regency drama, will be treading the boards of London's Garrick Theatre in Instructions for a Teenage Armageddon.

The play, which was previously shown at the Southwark Playhouse in 2022, centres around a 17-year-old girl who joins a scout group following the tragic death of her sister.

Tickets are available from outlets including London Theatre Direct and TodayTix.

"After her sister's untimely death by a Yorkshire Pudding, a funny teenage misfit begrudgingly joins a flailing scout group to help her navigate the kicks and punches of adolescence with varying degrees of success," reads the official synopsis for the show.

"Instructions for a Teenage Armageddon is a rollercoaster ride through youth. Whether you are a young person, know a young person, or simply were a young person once – it's time to rip up the rule book and reconnect with your younger self."

The coming-of-age play is written by Outlander actress Rosie Day, who released her debut novel of the same name in 2021. Georgie Staight will act as director, with Katy Galloway Productions producing the show.

The production will open on March 17 and will run for six weeks until April 28. Public booking opened earlier today (January 19), with tickets available from £25.

Chandran will also be starring in upcoming TV drama Arzu. The actress will play a young heiress who swaps the scandal of Mumbai for New York City's high society (via Variety).

"I'm delighted to be part of a show that is full of glamour, romance and drama that also fearlessly touches on societal issues," she said in a statement.

"It has been a dream working with Blink49 and Unicorn Island Productions as well as being reunited with Geetika [Lizardi, Bridgerton screenwriter] on this. Excited for the world to see it."

Instructions for a Teenage Armageddon will be playing in a limited run at London's Garrick Theatre from March 17. Tickets are on sale now. Bridgerton seasons 1-2 are streaming now on Netflix, along with Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story. Season 3 is set to premiere later this year.
