Bride's horrific wedding cake roasted online: 'Mashed potatoes'

A bride has been savaged online for her ‘horrific’ wedding cake after it was shared on social media.

The lopsided cake was pictured in the back of a car, with both tiers covered in lumpy frosting and topped with a garish Mr and Mrs topper.

“Wedding cake delivered and assembled. Bride is happy and I’m happy it’s over with!

"I think the leaning is being in the back of my car. Everything was level at home,” the baker wrote alongside the photo.

After a bride-to-be shared it to a popular Facebook group, people couldn’t stomach the thought of eating the cake.

“You know how when something has been in a smoker's house, it has a vaguely yellow dirty colour to it? Yeah. Would not be eating that,” a disgusted person wrote.

“I’m horrified both the bride and the baker thought this was ‘okay’. It looks like mashed potatoes on a lumpy paper-mâché cake,” another remarked.

“I’d be really bummed out if I were the bride getting this cake that looks like the Leaning Tower of Pisa during a nuclear fallout,” added a third.

Group members also pointed out that the lean of the cake wasn’t the only problem, but the frosting looked ‘unappetising’ as well.

“Ummm…who orders a cake that looks like it was covered in dryer lint?” one asked.

“Not to mention that the cake is starting to collapse as the buttercream loosens, the piping isn’t consistent and they didn’t bother cleaning up the cake board. Massive yikes,” added a second.

TikTok bride roasted for awful wedding cake

This comes after a bride was mocked online for making her own wedding cake.

Talking to her followers, she said: “I’m getting married in two days, and today I’m baking our wedding cake.”

Laura then struggled to stack and ice the cakes, before covering the entire monstrosity in a range of colourful sprinkles.

Adding a giant topper with the couple’s last name, she presented the homemade cake, with some comparing it to a ‘volcano'.

The TikTok quickly went viral, with over 300,000 likes plus thousands of comments, and people didn’t hold back.

“Is this a joke???? It’s a birthday cake,” one user wrote.

“Why didn’t you practice first,” another asked.

“You could’ve at least watched a YouTube tutorial bruh,” a third chimed in.

“Not me thinking you were a professional baker and this was going to turn out so good,” another added.

However, there were many commenters who praised the thrifty bride for saving hundreds of dollars by making her own cake.

“Thank god someone has some common sense and doesn’t pay $500 for a wedding cake. You’re beautiful, let that shine not your cake!!!” one told her.
