Boy dressed as Superman dies after falling out of 10th storey window

A five-year-old boy dressed up as Superman has died after falling from a 10th-floor window while pretending to be the superhero.

The shocking incident took place at the boy’s home in Santiago, the capital of Chile, when his mother was in the bathroom, according to reports.

The five-year-old boy, who has not been identified, was reportedly dressed up as Superman when he was spotted hanging from fencing on the 10th-floor window pane of his home.

A witness said the youngster was screaming and then fell from the railings before his mother, Victor Echaiz Castro, or the emergency services could anything to help him.

He was reportedly still alive on the ground after the fall.

“The police acted immediately and took him away,” the building’s doorman said.

Silvia Jaramillo, the prosecutor in charge of the investigation, went to the scene of the incident and confirmed a lack of protection on the window where the boy fell from.
