A young boy has died in a quad bike rollover on the outskirts of Hobart.
The nine-year-old was riding the quad bike at a family member’s rural property in Dixon Point Road, Sandford, when it rolled just before 2.30pm on Saturday.
Attempts to revive the boy were unsuccessful and he died at the scene.

The child was wearing a full-face helmet at the time of the crash.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
Second fatal quad bike incident
Another child was killed in regional WA when their quad-bike rolled on a farm.
The seven-year-old died after the all-terrain vehicle the child was riding on rolled at the property at Dingup in the state’s southwest on Saturday afternoon, WA Police said.
Next of kin has been told of the death and a report is being prepared for the coroner.
