A nine-year-old boy has died two days after he was pulled unconscious from a public pool.
Police believe the boy suffered a medical condition after he was found slumped in the water near the side of the public pool in Griffith, in the NSW Riverina region, about 3pm (local time) on Friday.
The boy was pulled from the pool by a parent, according to NSW Police, and lifeguards attempted CPR.
He was rushed to Griffith Hospital but, despite the efforts of doctors, died on Sunday.
The death is not being treated as suspicious, but investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
