A 16-year-old boy has died of a gunshot wound in a suburban Brisbane park.
Police were called to the park near Deshon Street in Coorparoo around 5pm on Friday.
Courier Mail named the location as Langlands Annex Park.
Officers and paramedics rendered first aid but the boy died at the scene a short time later.
A firearm was located at the scene, and detectives are believed to be investigating whether the gunshot wound was self-inflicted, the Courier Mail reported.
"Early investigations suggest the boy's death is not suspicious, however a crime scene has been established to fully understand the circumstances surrounding his death," police said in a statement.
Police have asked anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity at the time around Deshon Street, Turbo Street, Noman Street or Withington Street, to come forward.
