Boy, 16, injured in hit and run


A 16-year-old Queensland boy has been injured in a hit-and-run on the Sunshine Coast

The Tewantin boy was struck by what is believed to be a Toyota Prado while he was crossing David Lowe Way between Cooyar Street and Bicentennial Drive at Noosa Heads around 2am on Saturday.

He was taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The vehicle, which police say was either white, silver or grey, did not stop but some of its parts were located nearby.

Police are looking for the driver and say the vehicle is missing is missing a Toyota badge on the front.
