An 11-year-old boy has been flown to hospital following a two-car crash in Argyll.

He was one of four people injured in the collision, which happened on the A85 about five miles (8km) west of Tyndrum at about 14:45 on Sunday.

Emergency services, including a coastguard helicopter, attended the crash between a grey Dacia Duster and a grey Citroen C4.

The boy was airlifted to the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow, with others taken to hospital by ambulance.

The road was closed for 10 hours to allow investigations to be carried out.

Police have appealed for witnesses and anybody with dashcam footage to come forward.
