Boy, 1, fights for his life after being pulled from hot car parked outside pub

A baby is fighting for his life after being pulled from a locked car parked outside of a pub as the temperature reached 33C.

The boy, one, was found unconscious in the vehicle about 3.15pm on Wednesday in Melbourne’s south-west, police confirmed to Yahoo Australia.

The car was parked outside of The Brook Point Cook, a hotel that features a restaurant, cafe, bar, pokies room and playground for children, according to its website.

The boy is in critical condition at the Royal Children’s Hospital.

It is unknown where his parents were while he was in the car. 

An investigation is underway.
