Man, 19, arrested after body of girl, 16, found in home
The body of a 16-year-old girl was discovered in a home west of Melbourne on Sunday night.
Police were called to the house on Brookside Drive in Wyndham Vale at around 10.30pm, where they found the dead teen.
A man, 19, who was at the home at the time has been arrested and is being interviewed by police.
Homicide police are investigating the teen’s death.
“The exact circumstances surrounding her death are yet to be established and police will await results of a post-mortem,” a Victoria Police spokeswoman told Yahoo News Australia.
