Decomposed body with missing parts found on popular NSW beach

A badly decomposed body has washed up on a popular beach on the NSW Central Coast.

The body was found on the shoreline of Soldiers Beach at Norah Head around 11am on Thursday, NSW Police told Yahoo News Australia.

Officers have created a crime scene and an investigation is underway.

The remains have yet to be formally identified and a report will be prepared for the coroner.

NSW Police told The Daily Telegraph parts of the body, whose gender or age is unknown, were missing.

It is also unknown how long the body had been in the water.

The tragic discovery comes just weeks after a body of a man was found in the water at a beach in Sydney’s south.

Police were called to Henson Street, Brighton-Le-Sands on the morning of February 28, after reports a body had been found floating in the water.
