Boat fire at Gold Coast marina

Fire has destroyed three luxury cruisers moored outside the Palazzo Versace hotel on the Gold Coast.

Firefighters are working to control the blazes on board the vessels at the Marina mirage at Main Beach, a police spokeswoman told AAP.

She said the 40ft cruisers caught on fire about 3am Wednesday, with the cause of the blazes unknown.

These pictures show people desperately trying to move other boats away from the flames.

No-one was injured in the fires.

Six fire crews are at the scene at the back of the Palazzo Versace hotel, and fire fighters have sprayed fire-proof foam in the water to stop the flames spreading.

Police are trying to track down the owners of the boats.
