'Blatant joke': Gordon Ramsay diner's savage steak meal review

A frustrated diner has criticised one of Gordon Ramsay’s restaurants complaining about the portion size of their $40 steak and chips.

The diner visited Ramsay’s York & Albany Restaurant in London earlier this month and left a review on Tripadvisor.

The man claims he paid about £23, or about AU$40, for “five slices of meat and over-salted fries”.

“Gordon you made a name giving advice on how to run a restaurant,” he wrote.

“Let me give you my advice. This is covid (sic) time. Hospitality sector is in bad shape. Blatantly joking at your customers won't help your business.”

The diner left a one-star review.

Another patron also left a one-star review calling the portion sizes “a joke” and referred to the same dish.

So far, the restaurant has mixed reviews and is averaging 3.5 stars based on more than 1000 critiques.
