Bizarre new Bunnings snag rule introduced due to safety concerns

Bunnings Warehouse management have told all groups staffing the stores’ barbecues to put onion on bread before the sausage or sauce due to OH&S concerns.

“Safety is always our No 1 priority and we recently introduced a suggestion that onion be placed underneath sausages to help prevent the onion from falling out and creating a slipping hazard,” said Bunnings’ chief operating officer.

The “friendly recommendation” has been provided in the “sausage sizzle welcome pack” to community and charity groups that run the fundraisers.

Many people questioned the decision, asking whether anyone has actually ever slipped on onion? If so, wouldn’t the sausage and sauce be a slipping hazard also?
