A lucky NSW man has had his morning workout interrupted by the life-changing news that he is now a millionaire, after winning last night’s Lotto.
The winner, who has chosen to remain anonymous, was shocked to learn he had won $1,012,642.30 in the Wednesday night Lotto draw.
“I’m gobsmacked! I don’t know what to say,” he said.
“I’m just on my way to the gym to lose some weight. You’ve changed my world!”
The Shellharbour resident said he planned on travelling with his winnings.
“I’ll help out the family. I’m going to travel the world too. I want to go to Ireland – I’ve never been. I’ve got to kiss the Blarney Stone!”
The owner of Shellharbour Square Newsagency, where the lucky ticket was sold, said it was a first for the store.
“We’ve been here for 15 years but this is the first million-dollar division one we’ve sold,” owner Denise Grono said.

“We’ve sold lots of other prizes, but not a division one so we’re very excited,” she said.
“Hopefully it won’t be long until we sell the next one!”
The new millionaire was determined to finish his workout, but said he might be a little distracted by the good news.
