The bizarre item Bindi Irwin ships from the US to Australia

She spends a lot of her time traveling between the US and Australia juggling work and family life.

And while fans might think Bindi Irwin misses American food or sitcoms when she’s in Australia, it turns out the 20-year-old longs for something very bizarre indeed.

Speaking on a live Facebook Q&A with Animal Planet, Bindi’s brother, 14-year-old Robert Irwin, spilled the beans on the item his sister imports from the US.

When the family were asked what they bring back to Australia when they leave the US, Robert revealed Bindi stashes toilet paper in her suitcase, with Charmin being her favourite brand.

“Do you have to tell the world that?” Bindi laughed, clearly embarrassed that her secret had been revealed.

“Your toilet paper is really soft here but I think we could have not said that on live Animal Planet Facebook feed but that’s cool.”

The kids’ mum, Terri Irwin, then cut in, saying that people actually send toilet paper to her for Bindi.

“She’ll ask for it,” Terri said.

Bindi went on to further explain her obsession, saying she would even get toilet paper for her birthday.

“My aunt texted me from Oregon and she said ‘what would you like for your birthday?’ and, I love cards because I love writing to people, so I asked her for cards and toilet paper,” Bindi said.

During the live chat, the family also revealed that their new reality show, called Crikey! It’s the Irwins, will air on the Animal Planet on October 28th.

The show is set to follow Terri, Robert Bindi and her boyfriend, Chandler Powell during their day to day activities at Australia Zoo.
