The leaves are turning brown and the nights are drawing in earlier and the Autumn vibes are already strong in the capital.
Pumpkin season is officially here and there are a whole host of pumpkin-picking activities going on in London to help you get that jack-o-lantern fix.
Here are the best places to visit to make the most of pumpkin season in 2023.
Covent Garden Pumpkin Market
This annual event is back for 2023 and will run until October 31 - Halloween night. Organisers are yet to give a start date for the market, but it normally runs for three days in the lead-up to Halloween.
The event normally sees hundreds upon hundreds of pumpkins, squashes and gourds brought to the famous piazza to pick from alongside seasonal fruit and veg stores selling the freshest Autumn ingredients.
Covent Garden’s food and drink outlets also get into the spirit, creating pumpkin-inspired offerings and pop-ups in tribute to the season.

Crockford Bridge Farm
The Surrey fields always have plenty of orange treats to pick from and the fields are open for Pumpkin Picking from Saturday, September 30 to Sunday, October 15. Those wanting to go along must book tickets as there are no tickets available at the door.
The fields themselves are only open for the first two weeks of October because of the damage done to the grounds as the weather turns, but if you want to go nearer to Halloween night, you can still go along and purchase a ticket to Pumpkin Market from October 17 onwards where you can buy a pre harvested pumpkin.

Garsons Farm, Surrey
Garsons in Esher, Surrey is one of the biggest farms in the country for pumpkin picking, with around 10,000 pumpkins being grown in order for you to pick. The fields are open seven days a week in October and pickers need to have pre-booked a farm pumpkin pass online to visit. Occasionally a small number of day-release tickets are sold at the door if the passes have not sold out. Visit here for more info.
Stanhill Farm, Kent
This 150-acre Kent farm prides itself on its huge patch of pumpkins in various shapes and sizes. Wheelbarrows are on hand to allow visitors to fill it to the brim for just £35, and there are also pickings of seasonal fruit and veg on offer for sale - the perfect Autumn day out. The farm will open from October 15. For more info see here on how to go along.
Four Winds Farm, Kent
Each year, Kent’s Four Winds Farm goes Halloween crazy with not just a pumpkin-picking farm but also a medley of other activities to keep kids and grown-ups alike, busy. From scarecrow hunts to face-painting to spooky cakes. The event is set to run from October 22 to 29. See here for more info.
Tulleys Farm, Crawley
This is slightly further afield, in Crawley West Sussex but it is the ultimate in Halloween goodness. There is a pumpkin field to pick your own, but at night, there is the Tulleys Shocktober fest which sees the farm come alive with actors. The fields in the day are tame enough for children, but at night it turns into an adult playground with truly terrifying mazes and rides.
