Kirkwood said: "Fabulously, couldn't be happier. It was the perfect day. It was a small, intimate wedding.

"It was beautiful, very romantic. But there was a storm! Can you believe it? Storm Gerrit. But when we booked it, obviously it was a bit in advance. so we didn't know there was going to be a storm. And I was watching it in the lead up to the wedding thinking 'No!' But on the actual day, we didn't even notice it."

Welsh presenter Jones told her: "And rain on the ring - good luck, apparently. Kirkwood replied: "Is it? I'll take that Al. Thank you."

Fellow guest Tom Allen exclaimed: "I've never heard that before." Jones confessed: "I just made it up!"

Kirkwood – who was a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing in 2015 - revealed in June 2021 she had found love again with a mystery man, following her split from husband of 18 years Jimmy Kirkwood in 2008. She told Prima magazine in 2021: "I don't want to say too much about my boyfriend, but I will say that he is very kind and very funny - he is always making me laugh. And extremely handsome, as well. He is the best thing that's ever happened to me, without a shadow of a doubt."

Kirkwood reassured hosts Jones and Rani not to give up hope of a summer in the UK this year, promising better weather could be on the way. She told them: "There's still a month-and-a-half left of meteorological summer. In the next couple of weeks, there looks like for the southeastern half of the country it will become drier and warmer. Still one or two showers now and again. The Northwest are likely to see Atlantic fronts coming in at times, but still average temperatures, so we're not writing off the summer just yet by any stretch."

Allen asked: "What is an Atlantic front if that's not a personal question?" Kirkwood laughed: "It's a front coming from the Atlantic. Not necessarily stormy weather, it could just be rain that's coming in."

Rani said: "Wonderful, that is great news!"
