Several BASE jumpers have leapt from one of Perth’s tallest buildings in a daring act caught on camera.

Dramatic footage uploaded to Facebook shows one person plummet through the air after leaping from the Exchange Plaza on Tuesday morning before opening their parachute.

In the beginning of the clip a pink parachute can be seen drifting out of sight from a previous jump off of the 40-storey building.

There were four BASE jumpers involved, according to the West Australian.

The group landed safely on a grassed area below before fleeing the scene.

A WA Police spokesperson told Yahoo News Australia they are aware of footage of the incident circulating on social media and are looking into the incident.

BASE jumping is illegal in Australia and the spokesperson said police are enquiring to see if trespass has been committed.
