Bartlett to challenge for seat of Brisbane

Senator Andrew Bartlett will be the Queensland Greens candidate for the government-held seat of Brisbane at the next federal election.

Senator Bartlett says the party's vote is growing and is well placed to replace Labor as the main opposition to the Liberal National Party.

"The Queensland Greens achieved their highest state vote on record, won their first state seat and a 12 per cent swing against the sitting Labor deputy premier in the state election in 2017," he said in a statement on Monday
