Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu says the Catalan club have not ruled out signing Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez this summer.

Bartomeu hinted at the weekend that a move for the Argentine would be difficult, while also dismissing a possible return for Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar in the current transfer window.

"The matter is at a complete standstill," Bartomeu told BeIN Sports when asked about Martinez, seen as a long-term replacement for Luis Suarez by Barca.

"When the Champions League is over, we will speak to Inter. At the moment, we are focused on the international matches."

The Barca president also rejected talk of possible transfers for young attackers Pedri and Francisco Trincao, who will link up with the first team this summer after finishing the season with Las Palmas and Braga, respectively.

"Neither Pedri nor Trincao are for sale," he said.

"With [Ronald] Araujo, Riqui Puig and Ansu Fati, we are creating a new generation."

Part of that generation is goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen, still young for his position at 28 years old, and Bartomeu reiterated his intention to renew the German's contract.

"With the current situation, he asked to talk in order to be more relaxed, but his future is at Barca no matter what," the 57-year-old said.

"When Covid-19 is over, we will speak to him about his renewal."
