She may have been just seven-years-old when the world was first introduced to her, but new photos of former President, Barack Obama’s youngest daughter show she’s all grown up now.

Sasha Obama started trending on Twitter when a snap of the 17-year-old’s school formal was released - supposedly by her date, Chris Milton’s, cousin, who wrote: “When your lil cousin take Sasha Obama to prom” on social media.

Michelle Obama, and Sasha’s sister, 20-year-old Malia Obama, can be seen beaming in the snaps, however, her dad, Barack doesn’t appear in any of the photos.

Sasha looked absolutely stunning at the event, wearing a slinky black dress and her hair straight.

She matched the minimalist look with a pair of hooped earrings and a silver chain as she prepared to bid farewell to Sidwell Friends High School.

Obama fans couldn’t believe Sasha’s transformation on Twitter, with many saying she grew up in the blink of an eye.

Another person said their favourite part about all of the family photos was the ‘casual Secret Service Agent in the background’.

Michelle Obama wrote all about her eldest daughter, Malia Obama’s, prom night in her book, Becoming.

“Barack and I shook the young man’s hand, snapped a few pictures, and gave our daughter a hug before sending them on their way,” the 53-year-old wrote.

“We took what was perhaps unfair comfort in the knowledge that Malia’s security detail would basically ride the boy’s bumper all the way to the restaurant where they were going for dinner before the dance and would remain on quiet duty throughout the night.”
