Last night a WeWork saved my life?

Is there a better way to celebrate exiting bankruptcy than jumping up and down on a rooftop to the hottest tunes? Spy certainly can’t think of one.

WeWork has organised a “rooftop silent disco” for its members in the London Waterloo office later this week, complete with vodka cocktails from XIX and makeup company Charlotte Tilbury offering “Day to Disco makeovers” as the company undergoes a financial makeover of its own.

Sounds like fun.

Contrary to what Spy had previously suggested, however, the party will not include a celebration of WeWork’s exit from bankruptcy after software tycoon Anant Yardi rescued the firm from the threat of collapse.

A WeWork spokesperson got in touch to explain that the silent disco “is part of our wider annual member events and is absolutely not tied to our emergence from bankruptcy, nor is it a celebration of this emergence or a ‘bankruptcy party’.”
