A mother banned from contacting daughters she alleged fled to NSW with four years ago has been released from custody.
The girls, now aged 11, were allegedly taken from school at Townsville by their mother in 2014 to live in the NSW town of Taree.
After the mother and children were found a fortnight ago, she was charged with two counts of child stealing and taken into custody.
On Thursday at Brisbane Supreme Court she successfully applied for bail, which had conditions including that she wear a tracking device and not contact her children or their father.
The 45-year-old's parents, who she will live with in Townsville, will pay the court a $50,000 surety.
The girls are living with their father in southeast Queensland.
The mother remains before the courts.
