Backpacker kidnapped, raped and held in pig shed speaks out

A Belgian backpacker who was kidnapped and raped by a South Australian pig farmer has spoken to media for the first time of her horrifying ordeal.

In March, Gene Charles Bristow, who ran a farm in Meningie,150km southeast of Adelaide, was jailed for 18 years.

Bristow answered an ad posted on Gumtree in 2017 by a 24-year-old woman in search of farm work. Instead, Bristow kidnapped and shackled her.
